Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Fashion Designer
- Maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, models, photographers, and influencers within the industry
- Developing CAD sketches to effectively communicate designs to stakeholders
- Creating mood boards for presentations to showcase design concepts
- Customizing clothing according to client specifications, including specialized items like wedding attire
- Generating clothing patterns optimized for mass production
- Testing and selecting fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design through thorough material research
- Conducting research on current fashion trends and predicting future consumer preferences
